Today, as I hit six weeks, I have achieved some great milestones! I have started paying attention to the critters on my mobiles... they fascinate me! (I used to only look to my side when I was laying on my back, but now I stare straight up and love what I see.) I have also started smiling at Mommy. My smiles are sporadic and unexpected. (I wouldn't want things to be too predictable!) Mommy and Daddy want me to grin on command, but I'm still holding out. And today was a big day as I rolled over for the first time! It wasn't an accident... I proved it by doing it multiple times! When placed on my tummy I pushed up onto my arms and flipped myself over onto my back. It was a great trick because I don't always love being on my tummy!
I'm starting to get into a workable routine. I get up every morning around 8:00 or 8:30, stay up until around 1:00 PM, nap from then until around 4:00, stay up again until anytime between 7:30 and 10:00 PM (but usually closer to 8:00 or so), and then go to bed for the night, with two or three short feedings in the night, usually around 1:30 AM and 4:30 AM. I try to eat and get changed within a half hour for those night feedings because I want to get back to sleep!!
People have been asking how much I weigh now, and I don't really know. My doctor hasn't seen me since I was two weeks old, and I don't go again until the end of this month. Mommy stepped on a scale with me and she knows that I weigh somewhere around ten pounds, but it's just an estimate. And we don't have any idea how long I am, but I am definitely filling out my clothes better!
All in all, Mommy and Daddy say that I'm a good boy and they love me more with each passing day.
